Thomas is a backend engineer with experience designing resilient event-driven systems and establishing engineering practices around testing, CI/CD, and observability. Before joining TransitionZero, he worked in senior engineering roles across AI, psychometrics, and banking, and founded an educational platform for structured debate. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Delft University of Technology and a BSc in Computer Science from King's College London. He spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Lancaster and Oxford researching the societal implications of AI. He lives off-grid on a narrowboat, where solar panels and seasonal supply fluctuations give him a personal appreciation for the challenges of the energy transition.
