As Principal Architect, I am responsible for the architectural direction of TransitionZero's platform - defining the target architecture, the controlled transition states required to reach it, and the standards that guide our engineering decisions day to day. Architecture choices are anchored to mission outcomes: designing for scale, multi-tenancy, and cost efficiency where it matters, while staying disciplined about not over-engineering.
I bring deep experience in architecting and modernising complex distributed systems, with a track record that includes re-architecting monoliths into event-driven microservices, implementing open standards, and scaling platforms to handle millions of concurrent users. This mix of greenfield and brownfield experience has shaped how I work - incremental where possible, revolutionary where necessary, always with a clear transition state rather than a perfect-but-unbuilt target. I believe architecture leadership is about setting direction with conviction, holding a high technical bar, and trusting the team to deliver - recognising that our collective intelligence is far more powerful than individual intelligence.
